Biggest crowd of season on hand
Children and fans of the 1980s were in their glory as Artpark & Company ended the 2018 "Tuesdays in the Park" concert series with Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins, the B-52's and Boy George & Culture Club.
The venue was sold out, and 10,000 or so fans (many in costume) were singing, clapping and dancing to a slew of hit songs, including (Bailey) "Lay Your Hands," "Doctor! Doctor!," "Hold Me Now," (B-52's) "Roam," "Love Shack," "Rock Lobster," (Culture Club) "I'll Tumble 4 Ya," "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" "Church of the Poisoned Mind" and "Karma Chameleon."
Boy George & Culture Club also performed covers of David Bowie's "Let's Dance," Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" and Prince's "Purple Rain."
