The Northwest Jazz Festival, Lewiston, NY, kicked off Friday on Center Street and continued all day Saturday.
Now in its 17th year, the popular event featured local, regional, national and even international musicians performing on stages stretching from Center and Fourth streets to Center and Sixth streets. In addition, there was merchandise for sale, village vendors preparing food and selected portable snack shacks offering award-winning fare.
The Northwest Jazz Festival has become one of the region's premier summer music events, with more than 40,000 visitors annually enjoying over 30 performances, culinary samplings and wine tastings along Center Street. This year's headliners included Veronica Swift and The Benny Green Trio on Friday, and Elio Villafranca and the Jass Syncopators on Saturday.
