Award-winning physician to join staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Primary Care Center

An award-winning physician who is nationally recognized for his expertise in caring for the elderly will join the medical staff at the Niagara Falls Memorial Primary Care Center effective Sept. 1.
Fadi Ramadan, M.D., is a former program director of the Harvard Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and was the founder of the Inpatient Geriatric Medicine Service at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
He is board-certified in both internal medicine and geriatrics.
"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Ramadan to Niagara Falls and the Memorial Medical Center family of physicians," Senior Vice President Sanjay Chadha said. "His patients will quickly come to appreciate not only his expertise but his dedication to excellence in providing care."
Ramadan was the recipient of the prestigious Geriatric Academic Career Award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2003-08. He has studied aging physiology and developed the first comprehensive electronic resource on human aging, a comprehensive and detailed CD-ROM/web link on age-related changes in organ systems and the effects of these changes on clinical outcomes.
After receiving his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Ramadan completed his internal medicine residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo and served a fellowship in geriatrics at the Veterans Affairs Western New York Health System.
He is a former faculty member at State University of New York at Buffalo, where he directed acute inpatient geriatric services; taught students, residents and fellows; and earned several teaching and research awards.
