The Aquarium of Niagara is extending its hours for the 2018 summer season as of Saturday.
From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend the venue at 701 Whirlpool St., Niagara Falls, will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Last admission will be sold 30 minutes before closing
"We want Niagara Falls USA visitors to have the opportunity to enjoy their experience beyond the Falls and into the evening," said Joe Weickart, director of development. "The newly opened $3.5 million Penguin Coast exhibit is a must-see for all visitors to Niagara Falls and we wanted to be as available and welcoming as possible."
The extended hours will also include additional programming: sea lion shows, "Meet the Experts," rescue harbor seal presentations and penguin feedings. Seal and penguin encounters are offered every day and can be reserved online by visiting the aquarium's website.
