Calling all volunteers to make history!
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is counting down to the Guinness World Records title attempt for the Largest Marriage Vow Renewal Ceremony on Saturday, June 23. Currently, the venue is seeking volunteers to assist that day in order to bring the record to Niagara Falls and be part of history in the making.
Volunteers are needed to assist as "stewards" during the event ceremony. This is a prestigious and necessary position that involves each person observing a group of 50 couples as they say their vows. All steward volunteers will receive two complimentary buffet vouchers to Thunder Falls Buffet (valid until June 30) and a commemorative T-shirt. Each steward will assist the Guinness judge between 4-6 p.m. on June 23.
Email [email protected] by June 1 to volunteer.
Due to the overwhelming response to this event, the official ceremony will be held outside at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. All married couples should register for the event online at www.senecaniagaracasino.com/vowrenewal in order to participate. All registrants are asked to provide a scan copy or legible picture to [email protected] by June 1. In addition to sending a copy beforehand, remember to bring a copy on the day of the event.
The current Guinness World Records title stands at 1,201 couples set by Western Michigan University on Oct. 8, 2016. Seneca Niagara officials are looking forward to breaking this record in "The honeymoon capital of the world."
Guinness World Records is the global authority on record-breaking achievement. First published in 1955, the iconic annual Guinness World Records books have sold more than 138 million copies in over 20 languages and in 100-plus countries.
