Fri, Apr 6th 2018 04:30 pm
The McGuire Group's Northgate Health Care Facility on Nash Road in North Tonawanda has partnered with Erie 2 BOCES to provide a 12-month, fully funded LPN certificate program. Participants are guaranteed a position within the company during the training period and upon graduation.
Applicants must be 18 years of age by July 2018, have a high school diploma or GED and successfully pass an entrance exam. Upon acceptance into the program, individuals will be trained to work as certified nursing assistants while attending the LPN classes so there is no loss of income. After graduating from the LPN program and passing the licensing exam, they will be placed in an LPN role at the facility.
Those who are interested can download an informational packet with study links or apply online at www.mcguiregroup.com. BOCES also offers free refresher courses for those interested in reviewing English and math skills before taking the entrance exam. Candidates may also pick up an informational packet by stopping into any of the five locations including: Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Lancaster, Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda or Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.
Northgate Health Care Facility facilities provide 24-hour skilled nursing care, post-hospital and outpatient rehabilitation, memory care, palliative care and respite/short-term care. The facility continuously receives five-star ratings from the federal government and is among an elite group of facilities that finished in the first quintile of New York state's quality benchmarking pool for five out of five years.
