Western New York's renowned Summer of '69 All-Star Band will once again present an event to benefit the Home Assistance Referral Team. A charity concert is slated for 6-10 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Lewiston Event Center, 845 Cayuga St. The event has free admission. Guests can participate in basket and 50/50 raffles.
Shifts of "celebrity" bartenders will participate in a challenge to raise the most tips and win the prestigious honor of being named best bartending team at the end of the evening.
Students from the Lewiston-Porter jazz ensemble will perform at 6 p.m. The Summer of '69 All-Star Band will take the stage following the student performance. The group will feature special guest Gary Baker. He is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter.
Now in its third year, the fundraiser has netted a significant amount of funds for programs associated with HART.
The Lewiston-based HART is a not-for-profit organization that helps provide the elderly and infirm with caregiving and assistance, allowing seniors to remain independent in their homes.
