Obituary: Peter MacLaren

Peter C. MacLaren, 76, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017.
Born on Dec. 8, 1941, in Niagara Falls, MacLaren was the son of the late Donald and Helen (Cameron) MacLaren.
A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, MacLaren honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1960-63. He married Eileen Albion in 1965 and resided in Lewiston since 1979. MacLaren worked for GM/Harrison Radiator for 32 years and, upon retiring, worked at Niagara University. At the time of his passing, he was serving on the Village of Lewiston Zoning Board of Appeals - helping the village he loved so much.
Peter is survived by Eileen, his wife of 52 years; daughters Liz (Rob) Pool and Jan (Ryan) Strawbrich; a son, Don (Kim) MacLaren; grandchildren Alyssa (Tim) Vaughn, Amanda and Connor Pool; and his great-grandson, Trevor Vaughn. He is also survived by his sister, Cyndy (Charlie) Terrett; mother-in-law, Violet Albion; sisters-in-law, Karen (Kenny) Stidham and Sue (Bob) Huard; and his brother-in-law, Carl (Gloria) Albion.
