The Women's Business Center (WBC) at Canisius College is expanding its entrepreneurial support into Niagara County by kicking off a new "E-Network Niagara" program.
The program is designed specifically for female small business owners and entrepreneurs. The "E-Network" was given its name because the group sessions are designed to empower and engage the members while elevating and expanding their small businesses.
Professionally facilitated, the focus of the program is on building members' businesses by helping them to cultivate relationships with other small businesses and pooling the resources the area has to offer.
The WBC is unique and proven successful; all programs are delivered within the framework of education, accountability and support for the small business owner. Members will set goals, learn and practice the skills of effective networking, discuss issues, refine their branding messages and exchange business leads.
"E-Network Niagara" will be held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month (March 14 through July 25), from 8-9:30 a.m. for the first session and 3:30-5 p.m. for the second session. The program includes two monthly meetings, presentation opportunities, and an educational series. Interested participants can register via the Women's Business Center's website at http://thewomensbusinesscenter.com/program/e-network-niagara/2018-03-14/.
Bringing the women together and leading the course is lifelong Niagara County resident and entrepreneur Lisa Churakos.
Yahoo! is supporting this program and has contributed scholarship funds to all participants (covering 50 percent of the program fee).
The group is targeting a goal of bringing together 10 women entrepreneurs from each of the following locations: Lewiston, Lockport, Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda.
