Lewiston Choraleers to present Easter program at area churches

The Lewiston Choraleers will present an Easter program at four area churches March 17, 18, 24 and 25. The program will feature a cantata titled "The Easter Story" by Tom Fettke and Thomas Grassi. It retells the suffering, death, resurrection and exaltation of Jesus Christ in a story with a musical score that draws upon folk sources, spirituals, carols, and songs from English, Irish and Hebrew traditions.
Performance dates and locations include: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at St. Peter's R.C. Church, 620 Center St. Lewiston; 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 140 Rainbow Blvd., Niagara Falls; 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at the Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston.
The 50-member Lewiston Choraleers will be led by founder and musical director Donald D. Shrimpton, and accompanied by pianist Lynda Williams and percussionist Pat Kuciewski.
