Catholic Health offers dinner program on less-invasive approach to hip replacement surgery

Reservations are still being accepted for a special informational dinner program, "A Different Angle on Hip Surgery: Anterior Hip Replacement." The event is a complimentary dinner and program presented and sponsored by Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Catholic Health. It is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at Four Points by Sheraton, 7001 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.
Orthopedic surgeon Kafai Lai, M.D., who specializes in anterior hip replacements, and physical therapist, Kristin Barnard, will discuss surgical and non-surgical treatment options for relieving hip pain. Lai will discuss the benefits of anterior hip replacement surgery, which include less pain, shorter hospital stays, fewer complications and quicker recovery times.
"A Different Angle on Hip Surgery: Anterior Hip Replacement" is open to the public. Catholic Health invites area residents to attend one free dinner program each year. Admission for each additional program is $20 and includes dinner.
