SBA Administrator Linda McMahon to deliver remarks at 22nd annual 'Straight Talk Conference'

U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Linda McMahon will deliver remarks at the 22nd annual "Straight Talk Conference" on Saturday, Jan. 20, to help small business owners and entrepreneurs learn about the resources available that will help their businesses start, grow and succeed.
The event is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in downtown Buffalo.
For the past 21 years, "Straight Talk" has provided one-on-one business counseling, business information booths, networking opportunities and educational training.
It's expected 300-plus local small business owners and more than 30 vendors, including lenders, economic development agencies, resource partners, nonprofit organizations and local and state government agencies, will be in attendance this weekend.
Attendees will be able to participate in various seminars to help address the issues small business owners and entrepreneurs face when growing a small business. These issues include access to capital, assistance for veterans, marketing techniques, and how to be certified as a women-owned, minority-owned, or disadvantaged business.
In addition to the seminars, participants will be able to meet with representatives from the SBA, SCORE Buffalo Niagara and several other private and community organizations that deliver financial and information tools to assist entrepreneurs succeed.    
Other special representatives include Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, SCORE Chairman John Vitale and SBA Buffalo District Director Franklin J. Sciortino.
