Clyde's Feed & Animal Center, a Purina Certified Expert Dealer, is announcing its 2017 Purina Check-R-Board Days, a customer appreciation event. Stop by Clyde's Feed & Animal Center located at 351 Union St., Hamburg, at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, for a equine education seminar. Attendees can register to win feed vouchers and many other prizes.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Clyde's presents its 10th annual "Rein in the Holidays" event supporting local animal charities Erie County SPCA, Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, Ten Lives Club Cat Adoption Group and the Eden Stampede 4-H Group. The event will feature the original costumes, props and sleigh from Jim Carrey's movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
David Howes of East Aurora, a "Grinch" memorabilia collector, acquired the sleigh and many other pieces from the 2000 movie set.
Costumed characters can be found in a mini Whoville setup, so don't forget the camera.
Television personality Jarod Miller will also be there with animals that have appeared on "The Rachael Ray Show."
It is rumored the Grinch and Santa will arrive together on a steam engine at 9:30 a.m. Customers can text REGISTER for coupons and free feed giveaways.
Customers will also have the opportunity to enter in the national 2017 Purina Check-R-Board Days sweepstakes for their chance to win a 2017 Polaris Ranger utility vehicle, a trip for two to the Purina Animal Nutrition Center, or Orion 65 Cooler.* See store for official rules.
