Greater Niagara Ballet Co. hosts two 'Nutcracker' fundraisers

The Greater Niagara Ballet Company will host two fundraisers to help offset the cost of the upcoming family production "The Nutcracker."
First, adults are invited to try their hand at "Trivia Night" on Saturday, Nov. 18, inside The Como Restaurant, 2220 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. This event includes questions courtesy of the "Trivia Kings," a basket raffle, a pie auction, cash bar and 50/50 split draw.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the first question at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.greaterniagaraballetcompany.org or at the door. The admission fee of $20 includes pizza.
Then, families and children are invited to the annual "Sugar Plum Fairy Breakfast," which will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Dec. 2. The event will take place inside Antonio's Restaurant, Banquet & Conference Center, 7708 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls.
In addition to a hot breakfast, activities will include "Nutcracker" dance lessons, photos with the costumed characters, a craft and story time, a basket raffle, 50/50 split draw and an "American Girl Doll" raffle.

"The Nutcracker" is onstage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Niagara Falls High School Performing Arts Center, 4455 Porter Ave., Niagara Falls. General admission tickets are on sale now.
The GNBC's 50th annual "Nutcracker" showcases both local and Canadian dancers and guest artists in a ballet set to the direction of Artistic Director Beverley Feder.
