Obituary: Michelle LeFauve

Fri, Jun 9th 2017 03:30 pm
Sept. 9, 1981 - May 26, 2017
Michelle lived on Grand Island until she met her husband, Nathan Wallace, in 2001. She was a devoted wife and mother to Nolan, Becca and Parker.
Michelle struggled with a rare autoimmune disorder called myasthenia gravis, but she always persevered with courage and hope.
Her last name, LeFauve, is translated from French as both "the fawn" and "big cat." Anyone who has had the honor of knowing Michelle understands that she embodied both translations. She was charismatic and lived life with vigor, like a fawn prancing through Beaver Island State Park. She also loved fiercely, protecting her pride like a lioness of the Serengeti, and her pride always extended far beyond her blood relatives. Michelle will be profoundly missed but her powerful love will live forever.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, at Pilgrim-St. Luke's and El Nuevo Camino United Church of Christ, 335 Richmond Ave., Buffalo.
