Global NY is recruiting companies to participate in Dec. 3-7 trade mission to Israel, New York's 5th-largest export market
Empire State Development has announced Commissioner Howard Zemsky will lead a Global NY trade mission to Israel from Dec. 3-7. Global NY is New York's portal for both foreign businesses looking to invest in New York and for local businesses interested in exporting internationally.
Global NY is recruiting up to 10 New York state companies interested in this key global market to participate and gain access to this "Startup Nation" and major international hub of innovation and technology.
"This upcoming economic development trade mission will reinforce our strong trade relations with Israel, and create opportunities for New York businesses to gain connections and access to this strategic global market," Zemsky said.
The trade mission includes stops in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem. Each participant will receive a customized schedule of B2B meetings with prospective customers and/or business partners. The trip will also include group networking events and dinners, in addition to sightseeing and cultural excursions. New York companies interested in opportunities in the Israeli market are encouraged to register by the deadline of Oct. 31.
The mission is funded by the State Trade Expansion Program, which will reimburse airfare and hotel costs as well as the trade mission fee of $750. To be eligible for a STEP grant, a business must meet the U.S. Small Business Administration's criteria (for more information, click HERE).
