The Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University hosted its fall fundraiser on Saturday at The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls. The museum called this new event "CAMfest."
Proceeds will benefit public programming at the Castellani Art Museum, including Kids 'n Arts Summer Camp, Art Express Family Workshops, school tours, exhibitions and "Meet Me at the CAM" lecture series.

A highlight of the evening was a Niagara Falls postcard painting, completed by guests who were able to paint a small portion of the design that had been outlined on a large canvas. This painting will be presented to the City of Niagara Falls in commemoration of its 125th anniversary.
Michael Beam, the museum's curator of exhibitions and special projects, created the canvas design. He supervised the collaborative painting at CAMfest, and is shown working on the piece in this photo.
The design was inspired by an artwork from The Charles Rand Penney collection of historical Niagara Falls prints, the world's largest assembling of historical Niagara Falls prints, and part of the Castellani Art Museum's permanent collection.
