Ancient Order of Hibernians awards scholarship to Niagara Catholic student

Overall contribution to Niagara Catholic in excess of $70,000
Kevin O'Brien, president of the Reverend James J. Browne Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Niagara Falls, and James Andrews, chairman of the division's scholarship committee, recently presented the division's annual George B. Reed Memorial Scholarship to Niagara Catholic High School student Courtney O'Gara.
The AOH has been offering this financial aid to deserving students at Niagara Catholic for more than 35 years. A total of $2,000 a year is distributed to a student. Since the inception of the scholarship, the overall contribution to NC is in excess of $70,000.
The scholarship recipient is selected on multiple factors, which include need, merit and quality of response to an essay question.
