From 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, there will be a basket raffle to benefit the family of Kaeden Mitchell at the Sikora Post, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda.
In June, Kaeden, 7, was attacked by two dogs, resulting in nearly 500 stitches and staples from his shoulder on up. He suffered a stroke and spinal damage. The young boy's family is in need of donations and support to offset the medical expense.
Tickets for the basket raffle cost $25 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets include a "Smoke on the Water" famous pulled pork slider, mac & cheese, coleslaw and two drink tickets. Other food, snacks and deserts will be served. Wing King will also be serving chicken wings.
The 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction will include a signed guitar from Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls, an overnight stay at Russell's with dinner at Salvatore's, and much more.
For more information, or to donate, call 716-986-1888, 716-553-7350 or 716-342-4459. One can also visit the event's Facebook page by searching "Basket raffle to benefit Kaeden Mitchell's family."
