This is what Fantasy Island officials said the public can expect from a new Oktoberfest event.
Debuting Sept. 9, Oktoberfest will run Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 24. The event will feature specialty food offerings; a wide selection of beers from some of the top local and national brewers; and hand-clapping, foot-stomping live music and cultural entertainment.
"By creating fun, new events, we are giving guests another reason to visit their favorite family entertainment venue," says John Fitzgerald, Apex Parks Group CEO.
Guests can access the event with either a paid park admission ticket or a 2017 season pass. What's more, Fantasy Island is also offering those who purchase a 2018 season pass access to the park for the remainder of the 2017 season, including Oktoberfest and the upcoming "Halloween Horror" event.
Fantasy Island boasts more than 40 rides and attractions, including the high-flying "Mind Warp" and "The Silver Comet" coaster, plus high-energy waterslides including the "Dragster Drench." Younger fun-seekers can ride "Max's Doggy Dog Coaster", the classic carousel and bumper cars. Plus, every day at Fantasy Island is punctuated by a live "Wild West" shootout.
