On behalf of the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), the leading human rights organization for all individuals with Down syndrome, and The Family & Friends Down Syndrome Association of Niagara Inc., a local affiliate organization of NDSS, you are invited to join us at the 21st annual Buddy Walk of Buffalo-Niagara on Saturday, Sept. 9. We celebrate "21'derful" years in recognition of trisomy 21/Down syndrome and the lives of our children and other self-advocates who continue to raise up positive awareness about Down syndrome.
Registration is open online at www.dsaniagara.org, or day of event from 9-10 a.m. The registration table will be located on North Fourth and Onondaga streets, near the front lawn of the Red Brick Municipal Building at 145 N. Fourth St.
The Buddy Walk will begin promptly at 11 a.m., as we march in The Lewiston Kiwanis Peach Festival Parade. This is a 1/2-mile mild walk up Center Street to Academy Park, where all registered participants will, afterward, meet under the Peach Festival tent and enjoy the food, friendship and festivities.
In order to participate registration is required. Please direct all questions or comments by reaching out to us at www.dsaniagara.org or email [email protected].
