U.S. Congressman Chris Collins, shown here with Town of Porter Councilman Duffy Johnston, was the guest speaker at the Porter lake homeowners meeting. At the well-attended gathering of 200 citizens, Collins announced he has been working with President Donald Trump on filling the vacancies on the International Joint Commission. He said he is very confident the IJC will have a member from Western New York.
Collins suggested local residents would be pleased with the selection, and said this would be a major factor in solving the lake water levels.
The congressman then fielded questions from the crowd, along with a staff member, Mike Kracker. At the end, the crowd thanked and applauded Collins for coming to Porter.
Johnston and Larry White (a lake homeowner) invited Collins to the meeting.
