Knights of Columbus supports Special Kids Picnic

This year, this Grand Island Lions Club Special Kids Picnic entertained many children and their chaperones for a day of fun and food, including boat rides, pony rides, face painting, music, hot dogs and hamburgers.
The Lions rely on donations from the community to fund this event.
The Knights of Columbus Mary Star of the Sea Council was again successful on Saturday, July 15, with its chicken dinner and basket raffle and has donated $250 to the Lions to help fund the picnic.
Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Grand Knight Sean Carroll presented Lion Dick Crawford with a $250 donation.
This year's dinner was sold out thanks to support from the community for both the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club. As this has become an annual event for the Knights of Columbus, the Knights said future support for the event is appreciated.
