Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello has announced his office, in coordination with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office department of traffic safety, the Town of Niagara Police Department and the Town of Lewiston Police Department, will host car seat safety checks this June.
"Thank you to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, and the Town of Niagara and Town of Lewiston police departments for lending a helping hand and getting involved in this event with our residents," Morinello said. "Safety when traveling is always a top priority for any guardian, and providing these car seat safety checks will give parents and grandparents peace of mind when traveling. It is important that we continue to work with the various agencies in our community and provide every opportunity available to keep our residents safe."
The car seat safety checks will take place the weekend of June 16, beginning Friday, from 4-7 p.m. at Town of Niagara Active Hose Volunteer Fire Co., 6010 Lockport Road; and continuing Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at Lewiston No. 1 Fire Co., 145 N. Sixth St.
