The Yasgur Project to play at Father's Day Lawnmower Races

The Yasgur Project and Fluse are scheduled to play at the Father's Day Lawnmower Race event on West River Parkway June 18.

The Yasgur Project is a veteran group of musicians, with Stewart on vocals and guitar, Binda on lead guitar, Carrig on bass and vocals, Nigro on harmonica and vocals, and Piatek on percussion. The band features classic rock from the Woodstock era and a touch of the blues. The band is releasing its first CD, "What's That Hum," this month.
Fluse, below, won Music is Art's annual Battle of the High School Bands at Buffalo Iron Works. The band includes Grand Islanders Ricky Hoover, Steve Parisi, Zach Morano and Matt White.
Fluse will play at the Music is Art Festival on Saturday, Sept. 9, Concert for a Cure, and Kelly's Country Store's Fall Fest. The band will play this year's Crawfish Boil at Dick & Jenny's, 1270 Baseline Road, on June 17.
