The Buffalo Zoo is gearing up for a beautiful spring break that is bound to bring crowds.

With this week's weather looking promising and many schools off from school for spring break, the Buffalo Zoo is preparing for a very busy week. Seasonal rides will be operational, including the "Zoo-Choo-Train" and carousel. Visitors are encouraged to see how the lion cubs have grown in just one year, visit with polar bears Luna and Sakari, or even check out the Arctic fox as they shed their winter coats from pure white to grey and black.

During the mid-winter break in February, when temperatures were unseasonably warm, the zoo welcomed 31,000 visitors. With temperatures likely to reach into the 70s this week, the Buffalo Zoo is preparing for another record week.

The Buffalo Zoo is open daily, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at 300 Parkside Ave. Grounds remain open for one hour after admission gates close.
