The annual Citizen of the Year Awards will take place May 11 at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Niagara Falls, the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce has announced.
The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce holds the Citizen of the Year Awards annually to honor individuals, organizations and businesses whose contributions have made Grand Island a better place to live, work and play. Each recipient is nominated by someone from the Grand Island community. Nominations are reviewed by the Citizen of the Year committee, and awardees are chosen for their contributions in various categories.
To submit a nomination, contact the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce at 1870 Whitehaven Road, call 716-773-3651, or email [email protected]. Nominations must be received by March 24.
Kim Waldron and Liz Wilbert are co-chairs of this year's Citizen of the Year.
