Admission and membership hikes at Aquarium of Niagara

Wed, Sep 30th 2015 03:00 pm

Effective Thursday, Oct. 1, the Aquarium of Niagara is raising admission prices to keep up with rising operating costs. New daily admission prices for adults go from $11 to $13 and ticket prices for children will go from $7 to $9.

"This decision was not made lightly," Executive Director Gay Molnar said. "As everyone has seen increases in household expenses, so have we."

Yearly membership for adults is $50 or $75 for a family membership.

"Remember, the aquarium is a not-for-profit institution and our budgets are made by what we bring in the door," Molnar said. "We also have free parking and, with our proximity to the gorge, it is a perfect opportunity to see new exhibits at the aquarium and see the gorge at our beautiful state park."

For more information on admission and membership costs, contact Ilene Strober at 716-285-3575, ext. 203, or [email protected] or visit www.aquariumofniagara.org.
