Forty doctors from eight countries and throughout the U.S. are convening on Buffalo to perform in a side-by-side coaching and concert experience with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to benefit the new John R. Oishei Children's Hospital. This marks the first collaboration between the Doctors of the World Orchestra and a professional symphony orchestra.

The doctors will take part in rehearsals, coaching sessions and chamber music. They will also be given the opportunity to experience many of the area's attractions during their stay.

The culmination of this experience is a concert taking place at 8 p.m. Saturday at Kleinhans Music Hall, 3 Symphony Circle. JoAnn Falletta will conduct the BPO and the Doctors of the World in a program that includes Holst's "The Planets," Bernstein's Overture to "Candide" and Respighi's "Pines of Rome."
