Buffalo Zoo celebrates Valentine's Day this weekend

The Buffalo Zoo will hold a family Valentine's Day event this weekend, as part of the "Zooper Saturdays" series.

Participants can enjoy animal demonstrations and enrichment activities. Make a Valentine's Day card for a family member, friend, or your favorite zoo animal.

The event runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday at 300 Parkside Ave., Buffalo. Activities are free with regular admission.

A full schedule of activities follows:

•11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Make a Valentine's Day card in the TOPS EcoStation

•Noon-2 p.m.: Face-painting in the TOPS EcoStation

•11 a.m.: Jamaican boa keeper talk in the reptile building

•11:30 a.m.: Sea lion enrichment at NOCO Sea Lion Cove

•Noon: Gorilla feeding and enrichment at the gorilla habitat

•1:30 p.m.: Hellbender keeper talk in the reptile house

•2 p.m.: Maned wolf enrichment at the Vanishing Animals North exhibit

•2:30 p.m.: Macaw keeper talk in M&T Bank Rainforest Falls
