Columbus Day is 'Kids Day' at the Museum of disABILITY History

Is your child looking for something fun to do on the upcoming school holiday? The Museum of disABILITY History will be open for a family-friendly event on Columbus Day. "Kids Day" events will be held Monday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at 3826 Main St., Buffalo.

Families can spend an enjoyable day at the museum and participate in group activities. The free event will include an obstacle course and quest scavenger hunt for all ages, a chance to create a family puppet theater, a "Kids on the Block of WNY" puppet performance, coloring stations, a pizza lunch at noon and the showing of the movie "Dolphin Tale" at 1 p.m.

The Museum of disABILITY History, a project of People Inc., is dedicated to the collection, preservation and display of artifacts relating to the history of people with disabilities. The mission is to tell the story of the lives, triumphs and struggles of people with disabilities, as well as society's reactions.
