Duck blind drawings in New York state parks

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has announced its annual duck blind drawings for the northern parks, including Fort Niagara, Wilson Tuscarora and Golden Hill state parks, will be held at the Fort Niagara State Park Maintenance Building at 5:30 p.m. sharp on Oct. 23 and 30; Nov. 6, 13, 20 and 27; Dec. 4 and 26; and Jan. 2, 8, 2014.

To be eligible to participate in the lottery drawings, hunters must have at least a current New York state small game license, a federal migratory bird stamp, a harvest information program number, and must have successfully completed the New York state waterfowl identification Course. A dog or boat for retrievals is also required.
