ER1 leadership appointments announced at Memorial Medical Center

Keystone Healthcare Management, the physician group at Memorial Medical Center's ER1 Emergency Department, has announced the following local leadership appointments:

Gerald Gorman, MD, FACEP: Medical Director. Gorman is board-certified in emergency medicine and previously served as emergency department director at Memorial from 2006-12. He has extensive ER experience, having worked at Brockton Hospital, DeGraff Memorial Hospital, Buffalo General and, most recently, Millard Fillmore Suburban. Gorman has also held a number of teaching positions, including faculty appointments at Tufts Medical School, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and University at Buffalo. Gorman completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, completed his doctorate in medicine at Georgetown University Medical School, and completed his emergency medicine residency training at SUNY Buffalo. In his new role at Memorial Medical Center, Gorman will provide clinical direction and management to the emergency department physicians and mid-level providers to maximize the quality and effectiveness of patient care.

He lives in Amherst.

Don Collure, MD, FACEP: Assistant Medical Director. Collure is board-certified in emergency medicine and previously worked as an attending physician at Memorial from 2005-12. Collure has extensive ER experience, having also worked at United Memorial Medical Center, DeGraff Memorial Hospital and Millard Fillmore Suburban. Collure is a clinical instructor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at George Washington University and his doctorate and emergency medicine residency training at SUNY Buffalo. In his new role at Memorial Medical Center, Collure will assist Gorman in carrying out his clinical management responsibilities.

He is a Grand Island resident.

Dina Gigliotti, MS, RPA-C: Lead Physician Assistant. Gigliotti has worked at NFMMC since 2006 and re-joins the team as lead PA. In her new role, she is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of mid-level providers as well as the recruitment of new providers. Gigliotti's emergency medicine experience includes work at Erie County Medical Center, DeGraff Memorial Hospital and Millard Fillmore Suburban. She completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY Fredonia and her Master of Science in physician assistant studies at Daemen College.

She resides in Wheatfield.

John Bielienski, Jr., MS, R-PAC: Education Coordinator for Keystone's Northern Region. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran who formerly served as Keystone's lead PA at Memorial, Bielinski attended Erie Community College and the University at Buffalo before entering PA school at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He earned his master's degree in family and emergency medicine from AT Still University and has practiced emergency and hospitalist medicine for the past 15 years.

Bielienski lives in Getzville.

Joe Besl, RPA-C: Senior Physician Assistant. Besl completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Buffalo and his Bachelor of Science in physician assistant studies at Daemen College. He has worked at Memorial since 2005. Besl's emergency medicine experience is also evidenced by his work at WCA Hospital, United Memorial Medical Center, DeGraff Memorial Hospital and Millard Fillmore Suburban. In his new role, Besl will continue to work with the mid-levels as a teacher and mentor.

He is a Grand Island resident.
