•Ava Pannozzo, the 4-year-old daughter of Christopher and Ida Maria (Colangelo) Pannozzo, was recently diagnosed with a rare immune disease called familial HLH. She is currently receiving chemotherapy, but is in need of a bone marrow transplant.
This month, her family will travel to Cincinnati to continue the fight against this terrible disease.
A fundraising event, "A Benefit for Ava," will be held Sunday, Aug. 25, at Antonio's Restaurant, Banquet & Conference Center, 7708 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls.
