East Aurora Buick GMC Cadillac/West Herr will present the Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce 44th annual East Aurora Street Festival & Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, July 27. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Race Reunion Weekend.

Patrons can visit their display of new vehicles during the sale. Joining the event for the first time and providing sponsorship support is the Seneca Health Care Center. Staff will be on site with information.

This year, the festival is shaping up to be an ideal venue for ultimate shopping and family entertainment. A section of Main Street will be closed to traffic allowing vendors to set-up for the sale and to provide a setting for entertainment and demonstrations right in the street.

University Pediatric Dentistry at Toytown will sponsor this year's Operation Kids - Real Life Learning, now in its ninth year. Operation Kids will unveil tomorrow's young business owners from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Additional support is provided for the event from the Bank of Holland, Fisher-Price Inc., and Tops Markets and Hartford Badges.

New this year is a street festival kick-off with Doug Allen, the national anthem singer for the Buffalo Sabres. This will take place on Vidler's Rooftop at 9:45 a.m. Other activities will include: the East Aurora Buick GMC Cadillac new car display; East Aurora Lion's Club raffle and eyeglass collection drop-off; Upstate New York Transplant Services blood drive; Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex official pace car; musical entertainment; "Toys from the Attic" - Fisher-Price Collectors Club show and sale at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Pine Street); chalk walk murals, sponsored by the Town of Aurora Recreation Department; Operation Kids - "Visit Tomorrow's Business Owners, Kids Ages 6-15"; Rince Na Tiarna Irish dancers performance; kempo martial arts karate demonstration; body and soul boot camp demonstration; and Limelite University students performance.

If you're looking for jewelry, home décor, wooden toys, skis, musical instruments, books, household gadgets and decorations, women and children's clothing, shoes, artwork, glassware, sunglasses, pottery, candles, wind chimes, or thinking about home improvements, you're sure to find them at the Street Festival.

A variety of foods will be available, including sugar waffles, fried dough, hot dogs, Italian sausage, roast beef, grilled chicken sandwiches and hamburgers, iced mocha, gelato, kettle corn and tropical snow-cones.

For more information, contact the Greater East Aurora Chamber at 716-652-8444 or visit www.eanycc.com. This event is free and open to the public.
