A monthly lecture series is bringing a variety of local and nationally renowned authors to Old Falls Street, USA. The lectures, held in Old Falls Street's new Wi-Fi Café, closest to Niagara Falls State Park, are free and open to the public.

Featured on June 19, at 6:30 p.m., is Jennifer Pharr Davis, who currently holds the overall record for hiking the Appalachian Trail in just 46 days. She will be leading a hike of the Niagara Gorge prior to her lecture, and signing her new book, "Called Again," which chronicles her record-setting hike.

This lecture is held in partnership with The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the neighboring Comfort Inn - The Pointe (1 Prospect St., Niagara Falls), the business sponsor for the June lecture.

The second lecture in the series will feature Joan Graci, author of "No More Bad Advice," on Wednesday, July 17, at 2 p.m., at Old Falls Street's Wi-Fi Café. Graci has 28 years of experience in career coaching and is currently the president of APA Solutions (a recruiting firm in Williamsville), and Career Reform (a career coaching company). Her book is a "revolutionary guide to rethinking your career."

The third lecture in the series will feature Chris Stoianoff, co-author of "Niagara Falls 1850-2000," on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m., at Old Falls Street's Wi-Fi Café. The book, co-written by Paul Gromosiak, depicts the natural beauty of the falls, the emergence of the booming tourism trade, and the advances of electrical technology that have relied on the mighty falls' power.

Stoianoff is a life-long resident of Niagara Falls, and currently serves as the city's historian and writer for the Niagara Hub blog site (www.niagarahub.com).

In case of inclement weather, the July 17 and Aug. 21 lectures will be held inside the new Barnes & Noble store, located inside the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (28 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls).
