SPCA elects new board of directors and officers

The Niagara County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals held the first meeting of its 2013-14 board of directors on June 5.

Newly elected members of the board are Debra L. Korpolinski, Local 22 Funds administrator, and Jennifer R. Pitarresi, county director of risk management.

The board filled three other seats with the re-election of Dr. Susan Persico, who also serves as a veterinarian to the NCSPCA; Polla Milligan, a grant writer for the Food Bank of WNY; and Karen Karsten, former chair of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.

Officers elected were Michelle D. Madigan, CSP, MBA, president; AnnLouise Carosella, vice president; David A. Urban, CPA, MBA, treasurer; and Korpolinski, secretary. Jennifer R. Pitarresi, Esq., was elected executive committee member.

Committees and their members were designated and elected to effect governance of NCSPCA operations and to finalize and implement the long-range strategic plan for the organization.
