The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station will hold a mass accident response exercise with a simulated plane crash at the Niagara Falls International Airport the morning of Saturday, June 8.
This exercise is designed to evaluate the capability of the Niagara Falls ARS to respond to a hypothetical accident involving mass casualties; evaluate the effectiveness of the emergency response plan, and test and evaluate mutual aid agreements with first responders from Niagara County.
Actors will be dressed as the wounded victims of the simulated crash to give the first responders an accurate feel of the event.
Members of the 914th and 107th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard will participate alongside state and county emergency response agencies.
