The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, announces Joe Satriani with special guest Steve Morse Band on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $64, $51, $41 and $31, go on sale Friday, June 7, at 10 a.m.

Satriani has been an unstoppable force on the music scene for more than 27 years. Joining him on the road are veteran bandmate Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai) on keyboards, along with an entirely new rhythm-section, featuring bassist Bryan Beller (Dethklok, Dweezil Zappa) and drummer Marco Minnemann (Adrian Belew, Steve Wilson).

Satriani is celebrating "Unstoppable Momentum," his 14th studio album, which was released on May 7. For two decades, Satriani has traveled the world, playing to sold-out crowds as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star "G3" guitar extravaganza. His studio and live recordings have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide to date, and, of his many solo albums, two have gone platinum and four others went gold, with 15 Grammy nominations between them.

Steve Morse Band will open the concert. In addition to his solo career, Morse founded the band Dixie Dregs and has been the guitarist for Deep Purple since 1994.

Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts Box Office (weekdays) and tickets.com. To charge tickets, call 1-888-223-6000. For more information, call 716-645-2787 or visit www.ubcfa.org.
