Historical Association of Lewiston annual meeting

The Historical Association of Lewiston is holding its once-a-year organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28. Those in attendance at the Lewiston Village Pub will hear about the business side of things, including financial reports and news about programs and projects. Dues-paying members will also vote for candidates for the board of trustees.

Volunteer Lee Simonson will offer a presentation on the biggest project ever undertaken by HAL: the Tuscarora Heroes Monument. Get a behind-the-scenes look at how this project is progressing toward its ultimate unveiling on Dec. 19.

Simonson is the author of the "Tuscarora Heroes" book and was recently awarded the "Spirit of 1812" medal - the highest national honor bestowed by the United States Daughters of 1812.

This meeting is open to everyone - members, prospective members and the general public.

The Lewiston Village Pub is located at 840 Center St.
