The five remaining couples compete in the semifinals

Five remaining "Dancing with the Stars" couples take to the ballroom floor during the semifinals on Monday, May 13 (8-10:01 p.m.). Each couple performs two routines, inching one step closer to the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Last week, viewers were asked to vote via Twitter on a new style of dance for each couple to perform; this week the couples perform their chosen style, including the flamenco, Charleston, Afro jazz, Lindy hop and hip-hop. Each couple will also be challenged to take on a ballroom or Latin style dance they have yet to perform this season.

On Tuesday, May 14, "Dancing with the Stars" celebrates its 300th episode (9-10:01 p.m.). The show will feature music by The Wanted, who will perform their hit, "Fill A Heart," and Avril Lavigne will perform her new single "Here's to Never Growing Up." The 300th show celebration will feature an opening number choreographed by Jason Gilkison with 22 pro and returning favorites, including Chelsie Hightower, Dmitry Chaplin, Louis VanAmstel and Anna Trebunskaya. In addition, "AT&T Spotlight Performance" returns for its final installment of the season featuring Sophia Lucia, a 10-year-old dancer who recently set the Guinness World Record for consecutive pirouettes. One couple will be eliminated at the end of the night.

Hosted by Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and Brooke Burke-Charvet ("Dancing with the Stars" season seven champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines, which are judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
