Support WNY Association of Letter Carriers annual food drive

On May 11, the letter carriers in Western New York will be conducting a food drive to assist the less fortunate people of our city. We are truly grateful for your response to the drive in past years. People wishing to contribute non-perishable food are requested to leave a bag or box of these items next to their mailbox to be picked up by their letter carriers on that day.

These non-perishable goods will be collected and redistributed to various community food banks in the area to help feed needy families.

Our Society of St. Vincent de Paul pantry, located at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, provides assistance to those in need without regard to race or religion. We regularly provide food to those in need and also prepare special holiday bags for Thanksgiving and Christmas. By petitioning the letter carriers for the upcoming food drive 2013 we hope to restock our pantry, which has been depleted by increased need during these very challenging times.

We ask you to please participate in this year's letter carriers food drive on May 11. The success of this food drive for our pantry, as well as the other food outlets, is dependent upon your generosity in this collection. Thank you and God bless you.
