Lewiston GardenFest looking for local garden enthusiasts to showcase their private landscapes

Calling all Lewiston residents with a green thumb: The Lewiston GardenFest is looking for interested homeowners who are willing to showcase their private gardens during this year's annual event, to be held Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23.

Residents do not need to showcase their entire yard, but instead can choose a section they wish to highlight. Garden enthusiasts and other festivalgoers will be able to view participating gardens only when the "Open Garden" sign is in place (between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., during the festival weekend). In addition, homeowners should be present during the open garden hours to answer any questions.

Located along Center Street, the Lewiston GardenFest includes a free garden walk featuring the gardens of local Lewiston residents, and vendors selling flowers, plants, garden art and more to beautify one's outdoor space. In addition, master gardeners and representatives from floral societies offer presentations and opportunities to answer gardening questions throughout the weekend.
