The Town of Porter Story invites children in the town to come experience its offerings this spring.

"We have lots of fun coming up this month at our pre-school story hour!" says Ramona Lockhart. "We are planting, playing with tools and swinging with Curious George. In May we will celebrate our moms, slither with snakes, discover bugs and learn about music.

"There's always a great adventure at The Town of Porter Story Hour. Visit us on Tuesday mornings at the Youngstown Library and at the Ransomville Library on Wednesday mornings.

Lockhart reports story hour teller Terri Bednarczyk will be leaving the program. "We are also saying goodbye to Mrs. Bednarczyk. Sad for us, but a new adventure for her as she retires from story hour. We'll miss you Mrs. B."

She adds the program is now seeking a new assistant. Open to Town of Porter residents only, those interested in applying are asked to send a resume to the Town of Porter, Attention: Ramona Lockhart, 3265 Creek Road Youngstown, NY 14174
