Cosmetology students show off creative hairstyles

The cosmetology students at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center recently held a hair show at the center in Sanborn. Teachers Cathy Bonaccorso, Pauline Carney and Lori Smith had their students compete in either the evening look, braids or fantasy categories and asked several hairstylists and hair salon owners to come in and judge the best of the best. The Niagara-Wheatfield and Starpoint winners are:

Fantasy Category

First Place - Stylist Nina Calandrelli (Niagara-Wheatfield) and her model Megan Perry (Niagara-Wheatfield)

Second Place - Stylist Lacey Soro (Niagara-Wheatfield) and her model Amber Olszewski (Niagara-Wheatfield)

Fifth Place - Selina Hurd (Niagara-Wheatfield) and her model Elexie Rios Villafane (Niagara Falls)

Evening Look Category

First Place - Brianna Lagamba (Starpoint) and her model Alicia Speer (Starpoint)

Third Place - Steph LaBell (Starpoint) and her model Katie Bevilacqua (North Tonawanda)
