Buffalo Sabres: 'Beyond Blue & Gold' continues on MSG in April

Third installment of behind-the-scenes program will have 11 airdates

The Buffalo Sabres have announced that MSG will be airing new episodes of "Beyond Blue & Gold," a video series that takes fans behind the scenes of the Sabres organization, beginning this Friday, April 5, at 6 p.m. The half-hour program will premiere directly before MSG's coverage of the Sabres' game against the Ottawa Senators, which begins at 6:30 p.m. with the "Tops Game Night" pregame show and continues with the game broadcast at 7 p.m. The program will then be re-aired after the game, at 10 p.m.

"Beyond Blue & Gold" is a series that takes fans inside the Buffalo Sabres organization by offering behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the team's players, coaches and front office personnel. Cameras have been following the team since early June and have captured everything from offseason workouts, the NHL Entry Draft, the buildup to the 2012-13 NHL season, the team's weeklong training camp and other behind-the-scenes moments of the 2012-13 season. Thirteen episodes of "Beyond Blue & Gold" have already premiered online with more coming as the series continues throughout the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

This month's episodes on MSG chronicles the Sabres' mentor trip in Florida with Sabres owner Terry Pegula; an introspective glimpse into Patrick Kaleta's busy off-ice schedule; a feature detailing the close friendship of Steve Ott and Mike Weber; as well as a one-on-one sit-down with Sabres interim coach Ron Rolston. Each episode on MSG is 30 minutes long and is hosted by Sabres broadcaster Kevin Sylvester.

New episodes of "Beyond Blue & Gold" will premiere every few weeks on http://www.Sabres.com and the Buffalo Sabres' official YouTube channel.

MSG will continue to air the packages of "Beyond Blue & Gold" episodes throughout the season and as the series progresses. Viewers in the Buffalo and Rochester markets will have many chances to catch the most recent run of "Beyond Blue & Gold" on MSG - episodes will air 11 times on MSG throughout the month of April.
