Infectious disease specialist to join staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center

Rajinder Pal Singh Bajwa, M.D., is joining the medical staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. His appointment was announced Friday by Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Vijay Bojedla, M.D.

A primary care physician and infectious disease specialist, Bajwa will provide care to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and will serve as an infectious disease consultant to Memorial's physicians and nurses.

Bajwa is a graduate of Government Medical College in Patiala, India. His post-graduate training includes a residency in radio-diagnosis at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, India, and a residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He will begin his work at Memorial later this year upon after completing an infectious diseases fellowship at the University at Buffalo and Buffalo VA Medical Center.

Bajwa is board certified in internal medicine and holds professional membership in the American College of Physicians, Infectious Disease Society of America, Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America, American Society for Microbiology and the Medical Council of India. His research has been published in several peer reviewed journals.
