Assemblyman fires up the crowd in Albany
In front of a crowd of nearly 10,000 people in Abany, Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-C-Lewiston, called Thursday for the repeal of the controversial SAFE Act.
"Today, I joined thousands of New Yorkers from across the state to again voice my opposition to the SAFE Act," Ceretto said. "We need to repeal this bill and replace it with sound legislation that does more to improve the safety of our communities, while not stripping away the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
"New Yorkers deserve a better law, one that is more about protecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners and less about scoring political points."
