Behind-the-scenes program will air 18 times throughout March

The Buffalo Sabres announced Thursday that MSG will air new episodes of "Beyond Blue & Gold," a video series that takes fans behind the scenes of the Sabres organization, beginning this Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. The half-hour program will premiere directly before MSG's coverage of the Sabres' game against the New Jersey Devils, which begins at 2:30 p.m. with the "Tops Game Night" pregame show and then the game broadcast at 3 p.m. The program will then be re-aired after the game, at 6 p.m.

"Beyond Blue & Gold" is a series that takes fans inside the Buffalo Sabres organization by offering behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the team's players, coaches and front office personnel. Cameras have been following the team since early June and have captured everything from offseason workouts, the NHL Entry Draft, the buildup to the 2012-13 NHL season, the team's weeklong training camp and other behind-the-scenes moments of the first month of the season. Nine episodes of "Beyond Blue & Gold" have already premiered online with more coming as the series continues throughout the 2012-13 season.

This month's episodes on MSG highlight the Sabres' week of training camp in mid-January, the start of the 2012-13 season, exclusive interviews with Sabres owner Terry Pegula and Sabres GM Darcy Regier, and features with Sabres forward Nathan Gerbe and a "Day in the Life" of team equipment managers. Each episode on MSG is 30 minutes long and is hosted by Sabres broadcaster Brian Duff.

New episodes of "Beyond Blue & Gold" will premiere every few weeks on www.Sabres.com and the Buffalo Sabres' official YouTube channel.

MSG will continue to air the packages of "Beyond Blue & Gold" episodes throughout the season and as the series progresses. Viewers in the Buffalo and Rochester markets will have many chances to catch the most recent run of "Beyond Blue & Gold" on MSG: episodes will air 18 times on MSG throughout the month of March.
