The Lewiston-Porter High School Air Force Junior ROTC will host its fourth annual Cadets vs. Faculty Basketball Fundraiser on Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. The Lewiston-Porter Players in Progress (PiPs) will perform during the game and the cadets will hold a basket raffle and selling concessions during the game.

JROTC is a high school elective program that promotes citizenship, self-discipline, life skills, and community service. During the school year, the cadets have collected poppy donations for the Youngstown Veterans of Foreign Wars, hosted a dinner for local veterans, supported the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, volunteered at the Community Missions Soup Kitchen, held a food drive for the Ransomville Food Bank, and supported the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. JROTC also conducts recycling for the high school and its color guard performs at many local events.

The money raised by the cadets at the basketball game will be used for their April visit to Washington, D.C., where they will visit Andrews Air Force Base, the Pentagon, White House, Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, and Arlington Cemetery.

The basketball game is open to the public and admission is free.
